Self-Defense Empowerment on March 21st!

We're already in the 3rd month of the year and Women with Purpose is running in full speed! The presence of God has been so strong during the activities of this quarter, so make sure you make an effort to come out to our last 4rth quarter fellowship.

Our last activity for this quarter is our Self-Defense Empowerment! Come out and learn some self-defense moves from a professional and gain knowledge on how to protect ourselves as women with purpose. Knowledge is Power.

4rth Quarter Activities

Our wonderful leaders, Sister Chiquia and Sister Martha, have worked hard to create events where the women of Latter Rain Family Worship Center can fellowship and just enjoy being with other women of God. The events for this quarter are the following:

-January 28, 2009 - WWP 2009 Orientation

-February 28, 2009 - Game Night at 6:30PM @ Sister Darlene Brown's residence

2009 Orientation

"What gives you joy?" Women With Purpose began our first meeting of 2009 with that very question. Whether it be laughing, creating things with your hands, your family, or God's people, take the time to think on all those things that bring you joy. Sharing what brings you joy with others not only edifies other people, but it also edifies YOU! So open and share with others the amazing things that God has placed inside of you and around you, and watch your joy overflow!


Our lovely Pastor Renee Roberts, encouraged us to get involved this year and get behind our Women With Purpose leaders. We all have to do our part so that this women's ministry can grow to the next level of unity. She shared with us from Psalm 133, which states: "Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!" She challenged us to get our other sisters at Latter Rain Family Worship Center involved. Another scripture Pastor Renee used to encourage us was Romans 8:28, which states: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose."


Let's allow the spirit of God to work through us so that we can work TOGETHER.

General Information

1) Women with Purpose is for LRM women ages 18 and up.
2) We will meet every month at someone’s home. The host can have a theme for the atmosphere for the night.
3) We will have potluck. Bring your favorite dish or finger food.
4) We will need to know how many women are planning to attend so we can plan accordingly.
5) 4 quarters: 1st quarter January, February, March, 2nd quarter April, May, June, 3rd quarter July, August, September, 4th quarter October, November, December
6) 1st month of every quarter-Orientation/Regroup/Informative Gathering. 2nd month of every quarter-social event. 3rd month of every quarter empowerment event.
7) Dues will be collected monthly to help with the expenses $10.00
